I’m John “Money” McKinley, a Mortgage Loan Officer with LendSmart Mortgage serving The Woodlands, Greater Houston, and clients throughout Texas.
I’ve been helping people navigate mortgage financing since 1999. Over the years, I’ve learned that people don’t just need a mortgage—they need clear answers, consistent communication, and someone they can trust to guide them through the process.
That philosophy is behind my Human Touch Mortgage Solutions System, an approach built around transparency, proactive communication, and eliminating as much uncertainty as possible from the mortgage experience.

I work with first-time and experienced homebuyers, homeowners, and real estate investors to find financing solutions that fit their individual goals. Real estate investing is an area I particularly enjoy, and my experience with investors has taught me to start with one simple question: What are you trying to accomplish? From there, we can evaluate the available financing options and determine what makes sense for your situation.

Reverse mortgages are loans offered to homeowners who are 62 or older who have equity in their homes.
