49% Employee Owned

In 2021, APM formed the largest Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) in the industry, giving 49% of the ownership back to the employees.
The mortgage industry isn’t known for their retirement plans, and it was important for us to not only address that, but also to give every single employee some “skin in the game.”
The fact that all employees are owners of the company means that everyone is pulling on the same rope at the same time, working towards the success of the company.

APMCares Gives Back

At APM, our core belief is that PEOPLE MATTER. The APMCares non-profit organization was established to provide the means for our employees to give back in their communities. Together, we have been able to give back through community outreach and charity donations as well as provide family and employee assistance in times of hardship.

Our Culture in Action


The APM Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion was established to promote social and economic equity by creating and nurturing a diverse workforce and providing underrepresented communities with access to homeownership. our dedication to diversity is at the forefront of what we do.

Our Ambassador Team includes one representative from each department, including our offsite partners and fulfillment centers. The focus is to ensure APM’s culture is sustained and protected, and make sure all employees feel connected and included.

Kaizen is a Japanese term meaning “continuous improvement.” All employees are part of Kaizen teams, and encouraged to call out where there is opportunity for improvement in process or experience. Even the smallest improvement can make a valuable impact.

Wellness is an active process of becoming aware of and making choices towards a healthy and fulfilling life. Our team helps facilitate and encourage positive healthy behaviors. Our mission is about fostering total health, regardless of where you are in your journey.

The Employee Volunteer Program supports APMCares in its mission to provide resources related to shelter, food, and clothing to local communities. The program offers individual and team volunteering opportunities in the communities where our employees live and work.

We have people working all over the country, which makes it difficult to engage and give kudos. Kazoo offers a way to showcase peer-to-peer “high fives” and provides an ongoing way to connect with one another.

"Creating experiences that matter." It’s ingrained into our culture and how we do business. We’re living in unprecedented times, both in our industry and the world. With that in mind, we’ve created the People First Campaign to show our employees they matter and their work is appreciated.

APM presents an opportunity for two individuals to enroll in the California MBA Future Leaders Program, which provides comprehensive leadership training through two academic sessions, allowing participants to enhance their skills.
