Mortgage Women Magazine names APM’s Chief Information Officer, Michele Buschman named a Top Women of Tech 2025

With over 30 years of experience in the mortgage finance industry, Buschman has built a reputation for delivering transformative technology solutions while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. As CIO, she leads APM’s nationwide Information Services operations, overseeing infrastructure, systems, software applications, data, support, and security—all with a strategic focus on scalability, security, and operational excellence.

Buschman’s career includes  achievements that have helped shape the digital future of mortgage lending. She played a key role in the development of the first internet-based product search and pricing engine—an innovation that earned a patent and redefined how lenders conduct transactions. She also led the creation of private-label technologies that evolved into one of the first successful web APIs in mortgage finance.

A longtime contributor to MISMO standards and an active member of the MBA Residential Technology Committee, Buschman remains at the forefront of emerging trends, including generative AI and system interoperability. Her dedication to mentorship has also led to increased representation of women in APM’s tech leadership and development roles.
