APM’s Michele Buschman Named
2021 Woman of Inspiration

Roseville, CA — December 1, 2021— National Mortgage Professional released its annual Inspiring Women of 2021 in Mortgage Lending and American Pacific Mortgage is thrilled to announce that Michele Buschman, Chief Information Officer, was recognized.

Michele joined APM in 2014 to lead and develop our Information Services Team. Her responsibilities include overseeing daily operations and strategy of all APM infrastructure, systems, software applications, data, development, technical support, and security and supporting the organization at a nationwide level. Michele performs the role of CIO, CTO and CISO.

A Focus on Solutions

In her time at APM, Michele has grown APM’s technology team by more than 800%, while strategically integrating and improving solutions to support company objectives.

As a leader at APM, Buschman stresses that her team members listen and pay attention to the needs of the company to uncover challenges where Information technology can provide solutions and make the company more efficient, secure, scalable, and profitable. Culturally, Buschman has built her teams around attributes of inclusiveness, a family atmosphere, continuous learning, and fun.

Over the course of her career, Buschman has led teams that have been integral in changing how mortgage lending is done. Michele helped create the first internet product search and pricing engine technology, which the company received a patent for and led to major changes in how all lenders do transactions. She also led a group of developers in building private-label technology to implement and sell, as well as helped transform one of the first web APIs that successfully entered the market. These two tech tools have been key in an ever-changing technological landscape.

APM is honored to have Michele lead the company as the Chief Information Officer and knows there is no one more deserving of this recognition than her.
