Ned Payant serves as the Chairman of the Board of American Pacific Mortgage, helping guide the company’s long-term vision and strategy. Ned was previously APM’s third CEO, and has held roles as President, EVP of Enterprise Production, and EVP of Operations. Under his leadership, the company expanded from coast to coast and achieved record-setting years in both revenue and profitability.

Throughout his mortgage career, Ned has impacted thousands through his servant approach to leadership. With more than 30 years of experience in both production and operations, he has cultivated an outstanding work environment for sales, corporate, and branch teams. Ned is passionate about empowering branches, supporting originators, and ensuring world-class service for their clients.

Outside of work, Ned enjoys an active lifestyle with his wife, Debbie, and can often be found cheering on their two children in their high school and college endeavors. Originally from Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, he holds a bachelor’s degree from California State University, Sacramento.
