As Vice President of Market Growth, James Essen is focused on leading, coaching and recruiting. Over his nearly 20-year career, James has held leadership roles in the broker, non-bank/correspondent and bank distributed retail spaces.
James’ industry experience has shown him that homeownership is a great way to create generational wealth in America – something he’s very passionate about. James supports this goal by bringing on the top loan advisors and building the best branches possible. James’ leadership skills have also allowed him to become a certified John C. Maxwell coach, trainer and speaker. He is involved with the MN Mortgage Association where James co-chairs the DEI committee and serves as incoming president for 2022-2023.
Outside of work, James enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife Amber, along with their five children. He is also very passionate about volunteering, traveling and golfing – particularly in his home of White Bear Lake, MN.
