About Joel
Joel began his career as a real estate agent in Minneapolis, MN. A few years later, he moved into the mortgage end of home ownership, working for a friend. After moving to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in 1992, he continued to work as a loan officer, becoming the broker of his own company in 1996. As owner, manager, and loan officer, he was able to keep a good pulse on the industry as it changed with the economy. Having a degree in accounting and a background in real estate has helped Joel be fluent in all aspects of the mortgage process making him able to better understand both sides of the loan process and to communicate with his clients and realtors about the process. Joel is licensed with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and in the states of Washington and Idaho. His specialty is loan analysis and problem solving, which enables him to find the loan product that fit each clients’ specific needs, whether that is a home purchase, refinancing or investment properties. Joel lives in beautiful Hayden, Idaho with his wife Karen, and his father in law. They have two grown children and three grandchildren. During his spare time Joel enjoys walking, hanging out with family, playing games and home improvement projects.
