Scott St. John - Vice President, Production/Branch Development
Scott is a passionate mortgage professional with a wealth of knowledge and a teaching spirit. Overseeing branch development allows him to support all aspects of originator production; providing cutting edge technology, unique marketing strategies, advertising campaigns and a successful CRM system.
With more than 30 years of mortgage experience, Scott is recognized nationwide as an expert in loan and lead generation, database management and the Franklin Covey Personal Management System. He is currently a Certified Residential Mortgage Specialist (CRMS) and Certified Mortgage Banker (CMB). As a Franklin Covey and National Association of Mortgage Brokers (NAMB) instructor, he teaches “Mortgage Essentials” and “Ethics and Agency” to loan officers, realtors and other entrepreneurs across the country.
Scott is a prolific contributor to American Pacific Mortgage’s Learning Center. He teaches courses that help originators tackle call reluctance, eMarketing, critical paths to profit, and business planning. He provides APM originators with personal and business coaching, focusing on social responsibility, maintaining and building a positive work environment, accountability and innovation.
Scott graduated from San Diego State University with a Bachelor's of Art in Marketing and minors in Psychology and Speech Communication. The ultra-marathoner now serves on advisory boards for the California Association of Mortgage Professionals, the Oregon Association of Mortgage Professionals and Freddie Mac. He lives in Auburn, CA, and is an active parent of three daughters.
